Jacqueline Poquette is a Human Resources Professional with 30 years’ experience in management, compensation, benefits, recruiting and team building. She has specialized expertise in benefits, Organizational Development and employee relations. She is skilled in developing effective programs for recruiting, staffing, wage policies, employee evaluations and counseling. Additionally, Jackie has extensive knowledge of Employment Law, including employee rights and entitlements, recruitment, training, benefits and compensation packages, and has experience in Union contract negotiation.
Jackie is currently the Director of Human Resources at Westlake Plastics Company where she develops and administers human resources plans and procedures that relate to Company personnel. She plans, organizes and controls the activities and actions of the Human Resources department, and contributes to the development of the Human Resources department’s goals, objectives, and systems. From 2006 until 2018, Jackie was the Manager of Human Resources at Metal Masters Foodservice Equipment Co., Inc. (Eagle Group) where she was responsible for developing and implementing on-boarding, training and development, performance management, employee retention, benefits management and employee relations policies and strategies. Prior to joining Eagle Group in 2006, Jackie was the Director of Human Resources at Signius Communications, Inc. where she was responsible for all Human Resources functions, including management of budgets, recruiting, training and development, hiring and firing, counseling and benefits. Jackie spent twelve years as an associate with Schneider, Goldberger, Cohen, Finn, Solomon, Leder & Montalbano, P.C. where she provided legal counsel on various employment and human resources issues in both union and non-union environments. Her practice concentrated on both private and public sector employment law and duties included all aspects of employment litigation.
Jackie earned her BA in Political Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo, her JD from Rutgers Law School at Newark and MSM-HRM and MBA from Wilmington University. She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Vice President of Communications for DelMarVa SHRM, Chair of Delaware Employer Council, Chair of DE HEAL and recipient of the 2018 Ron Shane Lifetime Achievement Award and the Master of Science Award for Academic Excellence, as well as a participant in the Sidney Reitman Employment Law American Inn of Court.
